Jannetta Bos, MA

Since August 2012 Jannetta Bos is working as a psychotherapist and registered sexologist  at Foundation '45 and Equator Foundation, both highly specialized psychotrauma treatment institutes for victims of war, persecution, oppression, violence, and human trafficking. Both are part of Arq Psychotrauma Expert Group in the Netherlands.  This group consists of partner organizations who are specialized in the aftermath and consequences of traumatic events and join forces in specific areas such as scientific research and education, specialized trauma treatment and diagnostics, prevention and support. Jannetta is mainly providing therapy to refugees and victims of human trafficking. Before this period Jannetta worked as a psychotherapist and registered sexologist  at GGZ Noord-Holland Noord in the treatment program for complex trauma and personality disorders.

Jannetta is supervisor VGCT (Dutch organization for cognitive behavioural therapy), supervisor NVVS (Dutch scientific association for sexology), member NVRG (Dutch Association for Relation- and Family Therapy), certified psychotrauma therapist of the NtVP (Dutch Association for Psychotrauma), supervisor i.e. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR Netherlands Association). She is a trainer and supervisor in Brief Eclectic Psychotherapy for Posttraumatic stress disorder (BEPP) and Brief Eclectic Psychotherapy for Traumatic Grief (BEPTG).

Beside her job Jannetta  has been working for 16 years on a voluntary basis for Doctors Without Borders (MSF) as a mental health trainer in areas of armed conflict. She is currently doing the same for the War Trauma Foundation.
