Anstellung an der Klinik für Psychiatrie und Psychotherapie, Universitätsspital Zürich (2002-2013), zuletzt als Oberassistent und Co-Leiter der PTSD-Sprechstunde.

Promotion zu psychopathologischen Folgen von Unfallverletzungen an der Universität Bern (2007) und Habilitation zu Posttraumatischen Albträumen an der Universität Zürich (2012).

Psychotherapieausbildung am Psychoanalytischen Seminar Zürich (PSZ). Gründung der ISTSS Special Interest Group «Psychodynamic research and treatment» (2008). 2009 Verleihung des «Young Minds in Psychotraumatology Award» der ESTSS. 2011-2015 Mitglied des ESTSS Board of Directors.

Berufung auf eine Professur für Psychodynamische Psychotherapie und Psychotherapieforschung an der International Psychoanalytic University (IPU) in Berlin im April 2013, stellvertretender Leiter der Psychotherapeutischen Hochschulambulanz der IPU. Seit 2014 International Editor des APA Journals «Psychoanalytic Psychology».
